We Honor and Thank You! Burl and Roz and the generational Bowler Family for 104 years of serving Scobey and Northeastern Montana and across the United States to former Scobey born. We are so grateful for the dedication that this little but BIG newspaper the Daniels County Leader has been to our community, our families, our lives, and focal point every Thursday to pick up the latest edition hot off the press bringing us all together for the birth on newborns, weddings, deaths, funerals, sports, community events, and at the same time keeping our local county and city governments accountable for their decisions. In the 32 years that I was in Management in Corporate America building United Utilities into SPRINT/T-Mobile I carried the latest addition in my brief case reading the latest updates as I flew across the United States and Internationally and this paper kept me in touch with reality in Scobey, Montana during my journey in life. The most memorable for me was on a flight from New York to Dublin, Ireland in 2010 reading a ‘Thank You’ in the Leader from Finn Handy to “whoever found the wheel off his truck along the road and placed it on his front porch north of Four Buttes.” That is what true Americans do for each other, the simple things in life. Burl and Roz, Jill and I send our Love, Best Wishes, and God Bless both of you on your new journey in life, ‘Retirement’ Words cannot be spoken and writing cannot express our 10,000 Thank Yous for all your community service and being a true LEADER.
