Open Letter To The Voters Of House District 29 WHY I SUPPORT LINDA HARMON FOR HD 29 As a former Chairman of the Montana Republican Party and your three-term State Senator, I’ve spent my career fighting for fiscal discipline, limited government and accountability to the people of Montana. Those principles are on the line in this race. That is why I strongly support Linda Harmon for House District 29. Montana families are already dealing with higher prices, rising property taxes, and the strain of an economy that’s getting harder to afford. They need relief - not more pressure from Helena. Linda Harmon understands that. She supports responsible, balanced budgets, will fight to protect taxpayers, and is committed to limiting the growth of government so Montanans can keep more of what they earn. Her opponent has taken a very different approach. She supported a flawed property tax bill that shifted more burden onto Montanans owning more than one home and larger commercial properties such as ranches and farms. She also voted to increase the state budget by 13.5%! (HB2). That’s more than twice the rate of inflation and nearly seven times the rate of population growth. In ‘09,’11, ‘13, ‘15 I voted NO on House Bill 2 (the Montana budget) We do not need to increase taxes - we need to cut spending. Moore also voted to reauthorize Obama’s Medicaid expansion program, an expensive and flawed program that crowds out healthcare for those who truly need it - the aged and infirm. It’s also rife with fraud. This is not fiscal responsibility. This pattern leads to higher costs and less accountability over time. We need a leader who is willing to draw a line and stand up for the taxpayer. Linda Harmon will do just that. She has the judgment, the independence and the will to make the tough decisions and put Montana families first. I encourage the voters of HD29 to support Linda Harmon. —John Brenden, Scobey, MT May 4, 2026 Paid for By John Brenden Open Letter To The Voters Of House District 29 WHY I SUPPORT LINDA HARMON FOR HD 29 As a former Chairman of the Montana Republican Party and your three-term State Senator, I’ve spent my career fighting for fiscal discipline, limited government and accountability to the people of Montana.
