Local Government Review Study Commission of Daniels County Timetable For Study Commission Deliberations and Actions This timetable for the deliberations and actions of the Daniels County Study Commission is established as required by 7-3-186, MCA for the purpose of assuring full public information concerning the Local Government Review process in our county and enabling informed citizen participation. All meetings of the Study Commission are open to the public. Tuesday, April 14, 2026: Second public hearing and town hall meeting, 6 p.m., Nemont Friendship Room. Friday, May 1, 2026: Tentative proposal posted for public comment at danielscountymt. gov. Clerk and Recorder’s Office will have a drop box for comments. Tuesday, May 12, 2026: Monthly business meeting.County Study Commission meetings are held at the first floor meeting room, county courthouse on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:15 p.m. Any time or location changes will be posted on Daniels County website. Tuesday, June 9, 2026: Business meeting. Tuesday, July 14, 2026: Business meeting. Adoption of final proposal and public education materials. Final proposal posted at danielscountymt.gov. Tuesday, August 11, 2026: Public forum to discuss final proposal with voters, 6 p.m., Nemont Friendship Room in Scobey. Tuesday, November 3, 2026: Election to adopt or reject any proposals made by the Study Commission. Tuesday, December 8, 2026: Study Commission ends term of office, adopts any transition advisory plan, deposits all minutes and documents with the county clerk and recorder, and submits a copy of the final report to the MSU Local Government Center.
