Swenson and named it the Wolfe Agency. That same year Charlie Daniels purchased another insurance agency from his father-in-law, Mr. Bydeley, and named it the Daniels Agency. The two competed for business until February 1971 when they decided to merge, thus the birth of the Wolfe-Daniels Agency. Charlie Wolfe died in May of 1971. Perry Wolfe, current co-owner of the business, finished his secondary education at Eastern Montana College (now Montana State University-Billings) in December 1972 and came back to Scobey to work with Daniels, who died in December 1974. In 1976 Greg Larson came from Minnesota and was a partner in the agency until his untimely passing in 2001. Today Wolfe-Daniels Insurance offers a complete compliment of commercial and personal insurance coverage including home, auto, farm/ranch, business owners, bonds, crop, health, long-term care and life. Serving as agents at Wolfe-Daniels Insurance are: • Perry Wolfe. He furthered his insurance education in 1973 in Hartford, Connecticut with the Travelers Insurance School for multi-line agents. He has been active in the Independent Insurance Agents of Montana since 1975. He is also the secretary-treasurer of Montana Insurance Managers (MIM). He is a licensed realtor and handles real estate through partner United Insurance & Real Estate. • Pamela Gaustad joined Wolfe-Daniels in 2002 and has since completed her CISR designation. She is a licensed agent and specializes in Multi-Peril and Crop Hail Insurance. After graduating from Bismarck State College, she worked at Manhattan National Life in Bismarck, North Dakota. She later worked at Farmers Insurance in Bozeman, Montana. She moved to Scobey in 1987 and worked at the Daniels County Farm Service Agency for 15 years prior to joining the Wolfe-Daniels team. • Lacey Southland. She graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula and joined Wolfe-Daniels in 2014 after teaching school for eight years. She handles automobile, homeowners, umbrella, recreational vehicles, health insurance and claims. She has been a licensed real estate agent since 2017. • Shelly Hensel, who joined the business in 2022, works with homeowners and auto policies and also does the bookkeeping. • CloAnn Danelson has been here since July of 1992, and works with commercial lines. • Mikah Leibrand, a 2021 graduate of Dawson County High School in Glendive who works with home owners and auto policies, rounds out the Wolfe-Daniels team. All are active in the community.
