Job Posting: Public Health Director Daniels County Health Department Daniels County Health Department is seeking a Public Health Director to plan, administer, supervise, and evaluate public health programs and services. This position provides leadership for the department, ensures compliance with public health laws, and coordinates community health initiatives and emergency response efforts. Essential Duties • Lead and manage public health programs and staff • Implement and evaluate public health policies and services • Coordinate public health emergency preparedness and response • Collaborate with community, local, and state partners • Serve as a public health spokesperson and liaison to the Board of Health • Develop and manage department budgets and grants • Ensure compliance with public health laws, regulations, and ethical standards • Serve as the on-call public health authority, maintaining availability outside of normal business hours to respond to public health emergencies, outbreaks, and time-sensitive incidents as required by the nature of public health work. Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health or a closely related field •Three (3) or more years of leadership or management experience preferred •Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle •Must obtain NIMS/ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, and 700 certifications within six months Additional Information This position is grant-funded; 1.0 FTE is not guaranteed due to funding availability.
