FOOTBALL — Wibaux out: If one has a 2025 Scobey football schedule, change has occurred. Wibaux is not playing Class C 8-man this season, meaning Friday, September 26, is now an open date for the Spartans, which might get filled with another opponent or simply turn into a bye week. Being a subscriber to the Wibaux Pioneer-Gazette weekly newspaper, which has been serving Wibaux County since 1907, in the July 10 issue was the Wibaux School board minutes from June 19 and the varsity football team was heavily discussed. This is certainly not set in stone but it would appear the Wibaux boys would most likely sign a cooperative agreement with Dawson County High School in Glendive, which competes in Class A. If that comes to fruition, we will, as quickly as possible, let the DCL reader know.
