For those who don’t want to go through the hassle of attempting to do them by one’s self, there is always Tade Accounting in Scobey to get the job done for you. The April 15, 2025 (Internal Revenue System deadline) strikes zero at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2025, which is exactly 208 days away from today’s publication date. In “other” other words, it’ll be here before you know it. Owner Darrel Tade (SHS ‘74) moved back to Scobey from New Orleans in June 1983 and began working with Tom Hagan until 1985. In 1986 the business moved from its Railroad Avenue location next to the former Nemont Friendship Room to its current location at the corner of Main Street and 2nd Avenue East. Working with the business these days with Darrel, who is a Certified Public Accountant, are (pictured from left to right) Cooper Olson, Tom Hagan, Darrel Tade, Mayra Tade, Erin Hagan, Dani Urdahl and Wendy Cromwell. Tade Accounting is currently open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached by calling 406-487-2888, faxing at 406-487-2887, email at taccount@nemont.net, snail mail at P.O. Box 689, Scobey, MT 59263 or simply walking in its front door. Tade Accounting, the accountants that care and provide complete and affordable services, does many things including: income tax preparation and planning for individuals, partnerships, trusts, corporations, estates and limited liability corporations, including electronic filing; gift tax returns; farm and ranch taxation; business organization and planning; auditing and financial statements preparation; computer support and accounting services; payroll and bookkeeping preparation; business and estate consulting. The clientele of Tade Accounting is not restricted to just Daniels County and the surrounding region or even the state of Montana. “We do tax returns for people in at least 15 other states,” says Darrel, mentioning clients in Florida, Georgia, California, North Dakota, South Carolina and Arizona, to name a few. “We’re not an international firm but we do have clients from Canada and Costa Rica. It’s loyalty of local people that have moved but still like to do business with us. It’s amazing the loyalty of the people. Some of it is doing tax returns through the mail for people I’ve never even met before.” In closing, go get your taxes done when it is time to get your taxes done, as Tade Accounting awaits your arrival.
