SHORTLINE AG “Anything to do with grain... we handle it!” is the slogan used by Shortline Ag, Inc. of Scobey. “Our business philosophy is we try and carry all the products the larger dealers don’t want to carry,” said owner Allen Juel. “If there’s any problems people have we try to solve it for them and if they want a product we don’t have in stock at the time we know where to find it within the industry." “We are constantly looking at new technologies and new products that might be of interest and beneficial to local and area ag producers," Juel continued. "We like taking on the challenges of being problem solvers, that’s part of our service philosophy. Basically, to supply them with service and optional products to keep them going.” Juel has been in the business since 1974 and moved into his current location at 512 Main Street in Scobey in 1980. The business built a new expanded warehouse/ shop in 2013-14 on the south end of Scobey in order to display more of the products it carries. “I started out selling Sakundiak augers,” he said. “I actually took over that business from my dad (Chet Juel), who was selling them since the 1960s.” Shortline Ag, Inc. offers many products, including: augers, harrows, grain baggers and extractors, grain vacs, belt conveyors, sprayers, mowers, discs, cultivators, auger engines and electric motors, batteries, grain and fertilizer bins, sweeps, hydraulic pumps, motors and valves, areation and drying fans, water and fertilizer tanks, ag cameras and powerless aeriation grain air tubes. Brand names include Brandt, Loftness, Meridian, Gatco, Grain Guard, Toro, Sukup, E-Kay, Agremote, Auger Jogger, AgCam, Degelman, Pro-Till, Farmet, Danuser, Agri-Cover, F/S Manufactoring, Neeralta, Renn, Lundell, Freeform Plastics and Tridekon.
