MISCELLAEOUS — Last call: It’s Mike Stebleton’s final column, born August 30, 2001. There were Monday mornings having no idea what to put in this column but by the Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. deadline it was filled. There are so many great memories to go over in my time as the Sports Editor: the many state championships; Scobey boys’ basketball all-class 57-game Montana High School Association (MHSA) winning streak covering Classes AA, A, B and C, which still stands; a 53-game home winning streak the Spartans boys’ put together in Scobey. The following is a personal moment I will never forget as DCL Sports Editor.
