It’s always good to hear when someone with Daniels County roots earns recognition on a bigger stage.

Jon Hersel, a 1995 graduate of Peerless High School, recently received the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA) Southeast Region Coach of the Year Award during the organization’s national conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin June 18-20.

Jon is the son of the late Leonard Hersel and Linda Hersel of Scobey. His mom Linda shown with him here, drove to Milwaukee, for the presentation.
