Taken from the unapproved minutes and reporter’s notes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with Councilmembers Seth Axtman, Niki Larson, Greg Crowder, and Brian French present. Also, in attendance were Lacey Southland, Wyatt Wilder, City Attorney Samantha Howard, PWD Steve Berreth, and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Works Report –

• PWD Berreth reported that True Pipe is here cleaning sewer mains

• Repairing the sewer Jetter to clean out culverts

• Grading Golf Course Road for Pioneer Days

• Continuing to landscape at the splash pad Zoning Administrator Report – Administrator Steve Berreth presented permits at 305 Timmons, 307 B St., 305 Daniels St, 207 Daniels St., and 703 C St. All permits in compliance. Councilman French moved to approve permits as presented; seconded and passed.

Councilman Axtman moved to approve the demo permit for the old fertilizer plant; seconded and passed. Demo permits are for informational purposes.

Also presented was a water and sewer tap permit for lot 12, Block 3 OT, and a demo permit. Motion made, seconded and passed.
