DRAG RACING — The action is super fast! The Phillips County Motorsports racing season blasted off the starting line recently in Malta at the Hi-Line Drag Strip. The track held a test and tune shortly after the First State Bank Car Show and held its first points race of 2026. Hayzen Dobson of Scobey was the Junior Dragster runnersup and had a dial in time of 10.48, reaction time of .3259, elapsed time of 10.4336 and top speed of 58.53. Ty Hallock won the Sportsman championship race against Maci Ford. Hallock had a dial in time of 7.92, reaction time of .1374, and elapsed time of 7.8721, and reached a top speed of 88.41 miles per hour. Jesse Dobson of Scobey was the event’s Super Pro Champion, winning the final race against Wayne Solberg.
