Once again, the Knights of Columbus and St. Philip’s Council of Catholic Women (CCW) are preparing chokecherry syrup for the annual Thresherman’s Pancake Breakfast at Pioneer Town in Scobey during its annual Pioneer Days this weekend. Above are Frank Edwards, and Larry and Del Henderson in the process of canning the syrup. Depending on the weather and how many reunions there are during Pioneer Days, the breakfast goes through 22 to 30 quarts of chokecherry, and 12 to 16 quarts of maple syrup.
