ILLIEN STREIT, Director of the Montana Department of Agriculture, visited Scobey Thursday, June 11, is cutting the ribbon to celebrate the grand opening of just the second Agricultural Chemical Container Recycling Regional Granulator in Montana, with the first one being in Polson. The event began at 10 a.m. Below, Streit feeds the first plastic jug into the Scobey-based granulator. In the blue bucket is how the jugs come out. Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) Director Jillien Streit visited Scobey Thursday, June 11, for a 10 a.m. ceremony at the nowcompleted new pesticide agricultural chemical recycling regional granulator. It is located on the west side of the road leading to the solid waste facility (dump grounds), its address being 713 C Street in Scobey.

The Scobey recycling facility is scheduled to open on Monday, August 10. To serve recycling needs until then, the mobile grinding unit will be in Scobey on June 24. The drop-off site for containers will be Daniels County Solid Waste where containers will be inspected and ground upon delivery. The recyc...
