The Time Has Come For A New Order
There comes a time when people don’t want to deal with things—and one way some choose to deal with things is by not dealing with them at all. That’s been the case of this newspaper, Roz and I have painted ourselves into a corner and done a poor job of figuring a way out.
In our case, we haven’t wanted to put our family owned business up for sale, but it’s time. Most folks know that it has “kind of” been for sale for some time —we just never took our own advice and actually placed an advertisement.
The Daniels County Leader is now 104 years old, and it has been in our family for 102 years, through three generations. The last two generations grew up in the newspaper and print shop from near infancy.
My friend, wife and partner started at the Leader between her high school junior and senior year in the1970’s.
