Chippers Are In Scobey, Frenchtown, Grass Range, Manhattan And Kalispell

 

Prep Playoff Preview, Week 4 Finals

It is finals week in the Montana High School Association football playoffs and the great news is the Scobey Spartans do not have to travel far but instead near—Scobey High School to Plainsmen Field, which is about one mile one way... if that!

The Spartans host the South C Division’s Drummond-Philipsburg Titans Saturday, November 22, at 1 p.m. (Radio: KCGM 95.7 FM).

Action begins Friday, November 21, when Class AA and Class A finalists get the exciting weekend under way.

In Class AA, the Billings West Golden Bears are at the Kalispell Glacier Wolfpack. These two met each other in week one with the Kalispell crew nipping the Billings boys 14-10.

In Class A, top-ranked and the defending state champ Billings Central Rams go west to face the Frenchtown Broncs. These two collided in week three with the Rams winning 35-7.

In Class B on Saturday, it is going to be an all-out battle to the very end as the Three Forks Wolves make the extremely short roundtrip of about 24 miles east to play the Manhattan Tigers. These two got after each other in week four with the Tigers taking the Wolves by a 28-20 count.

And finally, in Class C 6-man action Saturday, Chester-Joplin-Inverness journeys southeast to Ryan Field to play the Grass Range-Winnett Rangers. Excluding one forfeit, the closest any team has come to defeating the Rangers w...
