MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD OCTOBER 6, 7, AND 20, 2025.

REGULAR MEETING October 6, 9 o’clock a.m.

The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Thievin and Fladager were present with the clerk.

The meeting was called to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Fladager made a motion to approve September 2025 minutes as corrected, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

Mike Thorn, solid waste, stopped in to ask if he could have a mechanic out of Williston come and replace the transmission fluid and filter. The Board suggested he check with Double D first.

The Board approved September 2025 payroll.

The Board approved JV#’s 8727-8729.

The Board approved officer reports for September 2025.

Michael Bergeron, Road Supervisor, met with the Board to discuss an excavator and the repairs that are needed to the F250. Commissioner Fladager gave a report on the information she obtained from attending the MACo fall conference.

Logan Olson, County Attorney, met with the Board to ask if they would sign an employee verification for the public service loan forgiveness certification and application submission.

Commissioner Fladager made a motion to sign the public service loan forgiveness certification, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board reviewed Resolution 2025-12 restricting access to the transfer site and dump ground. Commissioner Fladager made a motion to approve Resolution 2025-12, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

Bridget Kalblinger, Emergency Preparedness/Safety Manager at Daniels Memorial Hospital, met with the Board to give them a review of the strengths/and needed improvements results of the incident drill that was held on September 17, 2025.
