State Land In Daniels County Under Review–

Several deputy field agents of the Montana State Land Office have been working in Daniels County for the past several months. They are busy examining, reappraising and re-classifying various tracts under lease, and checking crops.

There are more than 200,000 acres of state land in Daniels County. Lessees pay one-quarter of the crop for rental each year on tillable acres, although there are still some unexpired contracts in effect here bringing in only one fifth, the old rate.
