Taken from the unapproved minutes and reporter’s notes of the regular meeting of City Council, CityofScobey,Montanaheld Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with Councilmembers Seth Axtman, Niki Larson, and Greg Crowder present. Councilman French was absent. Paula Jensen, Marshall T. and Sarah Nelson, Nancy Lund, Sheriff Lowe, City Attorney Samatha Howard, PWD Steve Berreth, and Clerk Sonya M. Southland also attended.

Public Works Report –

• PWD Berreth reported the Garbage Truck is still being repaired in Billings. We will negotiate the bill since the City is still renting a truck.

• Repairing two hydrants. The one by Nemont has no value to the hydrant, so to work on it, they will have to shut off the water at Nemont. Therefore, they want to make the repairs on a weekend. If they work a weekend day, they will take a regular workday off, so no overtime.

• They will conduct the hydrant flow tests this week.

• Crew is still filling potholes.

Zoning Administrator Report – A zoning meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025 to discuss standalone garages. Zoning Administrator Berreth will make a recommendation at the next council me...
