Indy Halverson Chairman of Red Cross– Clarence “Indy” Halverson, young Scobey merchant, was named chairman of the Red Cross chapter for this county, to succeed Eddie Tong. Mr. Tong served two years in that position. Continuing as secretary-treasurer of the county chapter is Art Bernard.

Doubled Insurance On Bank Deposits– Announcement of the new deposit insurance program now in effect is raising the amount from $5,000 to $10,000 on each deposit account.
