MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD AUGUST 4, 5, AND 18, 2025.
REGULAR MEETING August 4, 9 o’clock a.m.
The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Thievin and Fladager were present with the clerk.
The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Fladager made a motion to approve July 2025 minutes, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.
The Board approved July 2025 payroll.
The Board approved JV#’s 8707-8713 The Board approved officer reports for Clerk and Recorder, Justice Court and Clerk of Court for July 2025.
Logan Olson, County Attorney, joined the meeting for the discussion on Commissioner protocols. Discussion was held regarding Commissioners attending other board meeting and their roles in that position. The boards members should be invited to come and meet with the Commissioners.
Kristy Jones, Clerk and Recorder, met with the Board to discuss an email that was sent to her by Commissioner Fladager regarding the airport board telling Commissioner Fladager that Kristy had approved them purchasing equipment, giving minutes from the other boards to the Commissioners for their meetings and, the public coming to Kristy with their needs and how that cannot happen anymore.
Kristy stated that Charles Trower mentioned they were looking into buying a mower and wanted to know if they had the money in their budget. She told him there was enough money in the budget.
The only minutes that are brought in by other boards are the cemetery, soil conservation, LEPC, and the Park Board when they meet. The Commissioners decided that the boards can keep their minutes in their possession and if someone needs to see them, they can ask the specific boards for them.
