OVER 134 PEOPLE filled the appointment schedule with The Sun Bus mobile dermatology clinic over two days last week in Scobey. Unfortunately, the demand was greater than the number of available appointments, leaving about 25 people on a waiting list. The staff on the bus included nurses, volunteer cer tified dermatologists, and several local volunteers who helped check people in. The free screening service was well-received, offering both partial screenings and full body scans. Those identified as needing follow-up for potential skin cancers and precancerous lesions werealerted, and follow-up with a care provider or specialist was discussed. The bus stopped in Scobey thanks to the Daniels County Health Department, which made a concerted ef fort to raise the necessary funds for the event. Coordi nator LeeAnn Danelson hit the ground running once she learned the bus might be available securing generous sponsors and donors, organizing a raffle, and lining up volunteers. The event proved to be very beneficial and clearly needed, judging by the turnout.-Leader Photos, b OVER 134 PEOPLE filled the appointment schedule with The Sun Bus mobile dermatology clinic over two days last week in Scobey.
