Scobey, Lions Sending Many To East C Div.

Goodbye Glasgow, hello Sidney.

The Scobey Spartans and Lustre Christian Lions are headed to the home of the Eagles, Swanson Field at Lowman-Walton Sports Complex on Sidney’s south end.

Action of the East C Divisional Meet begins at 10 a.m. and the top five finishers in each event earn a berth at the State C Meet in Missoula Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 22-24. The 54th annual State C Girls/70th annual State C Boys Meets will be held in conjunction with the 57th annual State B Girls/83rd annual State B Boys Meets at Missoula County Public Stadium.

At last week’s action in Glasgow at the District 3C Meet on Scottie Field, the Lustre Christian boys (165 points) and Circle girls (157) rose to the top to be crowned the champions. The Scobey girls (131) and Scobey boys (86.5) both placed second.

The Scobey girls earned three personal records (PR) and four seasonal records (SR) while the Lustre Christion girls had five PRs and one SR. For the boys, Scobey had four PRs and one SR while Lustre Christian secured 11 PRs and 1 SR.
