Scobey 8th Grade Boys Win Glasgow Meet By Big 20-Point Margin

The Scobey boys’ eighth grade track and field team made a big statement Fri day, April 11, in Glasgow by capturing the team title.

The Spartans piled up

132 points, which was 20 better than second place Class B Malta Mustangs and 56.5 higher than Class A Havre Blue Ponies.

Scobey’s Quinn Axtman (100, 200) and Reid Cromwell (800, 1600) were double winners in individual races while Axtman, Cromwell and Tyce Holum were on both winning relay teams. Tate Johnsrud was on the long relay team and Blaine Thompson the short one.

For the Scobey girls eighth grader Emery Rouse captured first in the 200- and

400-meter dashes and long jump while teammate Halle Cromwell won the triple jump.

Lustre's Samantha Neufeld placed first in the

800-meter run.
