Volunteer Train Crews Rush Sick Opheim Girl Here For Treatment– Little Karen Biem, 7, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Anard Biem of Opheim, was brought to Scobey last Saturday evening as the result of an unscheduled, special train trip under blizzard conditions, inspired by crews of the Great Northern branch line.

The opinion of Opheim’s pioneer physician, Dr. Reed that the little girl could not live many hours with her temperature at 104 degrees and severe pneumonia conditions were complicated by symptoms of acute appendicitis.
