The answer will transpire sometime after 6 p.m. Saturday, February 3, when the Scobey girls’ basketball team hosts the Class C top-ranked and undefeated North Country Mavericks of the Saco, Whitewater and Hinsdale communities.

The opening tip-off is set for 5 p.m. in the Scobey School large gym (Radio: KCGM 95.7 FM. TV: Nemont.TV). The two squads met in Saco Saturday, January 6, with the Mavericks emerging 51-31 winners for their 37th consecutive time starting on March 12, 2022. Since then North Country has added six more wins to the streak: 83-7 over Nashua, 60-24 at Lustre Christian, 85-30 at Frazer, 70-13 over Dodson, 55-40 at Circle and 73-30 over Turner. Twentytwo- year head coach Amber Erickson brings a 381-150 (.717) overall record into the contest.
