BASKETBALL — The climb continues: Jason Wolfe began his head coaching duties of the Scobey High School boys’ basketball program in the 2005-06 season and for all we know he will, in all likelihood, be back for more in the 2026-27 season, especially with two young sons moving up: Logan will be a freshman, Seton a seventh grader, who both play hoops. Along the way thus far were four Montana High School Association (MHSA) Class C state championships

(2011, 2020, 2021, 2026), three State C third-place trophies (2017, 2019, 2025), placed fourth twice

(2008, 2018) and fifth once (2009). In his 21 seasons with the Spartans as head coach his overall record is a hefty 407-111 (.785). During that span his teams have tallied 29,532 points (57.0) and allowed 20,717

(39.9) on defense, and anything under 40 points per game over a two-decade span is a huge dea...
