BASKETBALL — Junior ref clinic draws full field, record mentor support in Fairfield, this is the blueprint! The Junior Referee Clinic held last month in the Fairfield High School gymnasium brought together young officials and veteran mentors from across Montana for a full day of training, instruction and live-game experience. For the first time in the event’s history, the clinic overfilled and had a waiting list, reflecting the growing interest in officiating among young people across the state. Hosted by 127 Sports Intensity and directed by Mike Schmidt, the clinic featured 40 registered participants and 16 registered Montana Officials Association (MOA) mentors, the largest mentor group the clinic has ever had.
