BASKETBALL — They didn’t place first but achieved the next best thing! The Scobey Spartans earned a second-place finish in the fifth-grade division at the recent Plentywood Lions Club Youth Basketball Tournament. The future varsity Spartans gave it all they had in the championship game of the division they played in but came up short 39-37 in one overtime. They played three games without a single substitute.
