Final Thoughts on Spartan Basketball

We can change each other without ever knowing it. We go out and life comes in and we become someone new before we take another breath. I went to a couple of basketball tournaments recently fully expecting to enjoy myself, not for them to alter the course of my life. But Montana State Class C high school basketball has a way of doing that to ya, and what I witnessed changed me. More of that later.

I’d love to begin this article extolling the wonders of the Scobey Spartans 2026 State Class C basketball champions, but more important matters prevail in my mind and they involve the 2026 State Class C basketball 3rd place Scobey Lady Spartans. First, poetry to me is emotion, thought, and action condensed into a powerful concentration of words or images. And I’ll remember to my dying days the verses of determination written across the faces of Camrie Holum and Dylon Allestad as they went D-Up on some of the toughest centers in Class C basketball at the state ...
