Lustre Christian Roars at State With Very Strong Finish
It was not the trophy the Lustre Christian Lions boys’ basketball program was hoping to bring back home from the State C Tournament in Missoula last week, but it was the next best thing.
The Lions lost 56-39 to fellow District 3C mate Scobey Spartans in the State C Championship Game Saturday, March 14, on Robin Selvig Court on the University of Montana campus.
Perhaps the most beautiful site of the entire tourney wasn’t someone hoisting the championship-tourney trophy but instead the Lions and Spartans gathering in a large circle with arms wrapped around each other with the utmost respect for each other.
A total class act by both schools, one of those teachable moments where the many players, coaches, managers, parents and fans from all over Montana can learn from. The message: this is how you represent in life!
