BASKETBALL — Nemont.TV preview: Brent Somppi, the Nemont.TV guy based in Scobey, doesn’t have to travel far Friday, January 16, when the two varsity games feature the visiting Nashua Porcupines at the Scobey Spartans. The varsity boys are scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m. and the varsity girls at 5:30 p.m. The Nashua boys (0-7, 209-452, 29.864.5) have had a rough go of it this season, losing to Bainville 68-34 and Westby-Grenora 66-26 at the season-opening tournament in Glasgow. Following were losses to Dodson 54-33 at home, Wolf Point junior varsity 64-16, at Dodson 54-52, at Brockton 83-33 and against Circle 63-15 on its home court. It is just the opposite for the Spartans (5-0, 368-143, 73.6-28.6), who have yet to taste defeat.
