Taken from the unapproved minutes and reporter’s notes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday,December23,2025 at 8:30 a.m.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with Councilmembers Brian French and Seth Axtman present; Greg Crowder was present via Slack. Councilwoman Larson absent. Fire Chief Wyatt Wilder, PWD Steve Berreth, and Clerk Sonya M. Southland also attended.

Utility Clerk Report — Utility Clerk Armbrust updated Council on the 2026 pet licenses. She has drafted an informational post on “why to license your pets” to be submitted to the DC Leader. There will also be reminders on utility bills, Facebook, and the website, and letters will be sent to previous licensed pet owners. She will maintain an up-to-date spreadsheet of licensed pets, including owner contact information, and will send email updates to the Sheriff’s Office. There is a $10 fee for spayed or neutered pets until March 1; after that, the fee is $20.

Public Works Report –

• PWD Berreth reported there was not much damage from the wind storm last week, a few broken signs and a Christmas light.
