VOLLEYBALL — We’ve been sitting on this one since 2025 Homecoming week (also known as high jinks in high gear!): If one looks up the definition of high jinks—also spelled hijinks—in a dictionary, it will say this: “boisterous or rambunctious carryingson; carefree antics or horseplay.” Let’s travel back to Friday, October 3, 2025, in the large gymnasium at the Scobey School, where a volleyball tournament was being held. Participating teams included the Teachers, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen. The Seniors defeated the Sophomores 15-7 in the third-place match, moving them into the 1-game championship against the Teachers, who took a quick 5-0 advantage. The Seniors battled back to tie it at 6 and 7 and eventually led by 7 points (20-13 and 21-14).
