Rat-a-tat-tat is defined as “a rapid succession of knocking, tapping or cracking sounds.”

The Scobey boys’ varsity basketball team was certainly rat-a-tat-tating last Friday night in the Frazer High School gymnasium. They knocked down nine field goals and two free throws in the first three minutes and 46 seconds for a 20-0 lead in an eventual 95-31 victory over the Bearcubs.

The Spartans (1-0 3C, 2-0 overall, 157-54, 78.527.0) wasted little time in scoring their first points of the contest when junior Kolten Machart tallied down low just 18 seconds following the opening tip-off.
