BASKETBALL — Just a reminder: The 20th annual Scobey Lil’ Roar Tournament is set for Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7, 2025 in the Scobey School’s gymnasiums. Sponsored by the Scobey Lions Club/Scobey Plainsmen, Inc., the tourney proceeds are donated back into the community. Here is a look at how many teams played in the tourney through the years: 25 in 2005; 26 in 2006; 41 in 2007; 39 in 2008; 32 in 2009; 41 in 2010; 45 in 2011; 51 in 2012; 49 in 2013; 50 in 2014; 45 in 2015; 43 in 2016; 56 in 2017; 52 in 2018; 51 in 2019; no tourney in 2020 (COVID); 49 in 2021; 21 in 2022 (grades 4-6 in 2022 but grades 7-8 were eventually cancelled due to power outage in afternoon); 46 in 2023; 32 in 2024.
