MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD SEPTEMBER 2, 3, AND 15, 2025.

REGULAR MEETING September 2, 9 o’clock a.m.

The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Thievin and Fladager were present with the clerk.

The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Commissioner Fladager made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Fladager made a motion to approve August 2025 minutes as corrected, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board approved August 2025 payroll.

The Board reviewed the Comprehensive Cancer Control Task order #26-07-3-01-025-0 effective until December 2025 for $74,897.00. Commissioner Fladager made a motion to sign the task order, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board approved JV#’s 8719-8724.

The Board approved officer reports for August 2025.

Michael Bergeron, Road Supervisor, met with the Board to discuss an excavator and the repairs that are needed to the F250.

Dottie Berg, School Superintendent, met with the commissioners to present the school budget.

Commissioner Fladager made a motion to accept the school budget, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board reviewed and discussed the working budget for fiscal year 2026.

The Board discussed cooking at the senior center. The kitchen needs a handwashing sink installed to be certified. The Board asked the clerk to ask the Aging Council to get on the agenda to meet with them to discuss this matter.

The board recessed for lunch. The Board reconvened after lunch, Commissioners Linder, Thievin and Fladager were present with the clerk.

Mary Nyhus, Planning Board secretary, met with the Board regarding possible rules and regulations regarding wind farms. She is asking for Commissioner input.

The Board discussed the extra rows of seats in the courtroom. Commissioner Fladager made a motion to give the seats to the DC Museum grounds, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, ...
