Very Soggy Turf Saturday Turns Into Perfect-Conditions Sunday


The 24th annual Daniels Memorial Hospital & Foundation Golf Classic was set for Saturday, August 9, at the Scobey Golf Course but about 3-4 hours of continual rain that morning soaked the local nine-hole layout to the point it was postponed to Sunday the next day.
It turned out to be the right move as the course was spared a tremendous amount of wear and tear from the very wet surface and what was thoroughly saturated under it.
As well, Saturday was kind of an overcast day with a high temperature in the low-to-mid 60s while Sunday was abundant sunshine and the temp topping out in the high 70s, meaning everyone enjoyed perfect golf weather.
Those who enjoyed it the most was the winning fourman team of Kray Buer, Austyn Fishell, John Kutzler and Reagan Machart, who carded a net score of 50.36.
