City Business . . .

Taken from the unapproved minutes and reporter’s notes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with councilmembers Seth Axtman, Greg Crowder, Brian French, and Niki Larson present. Taylor Plante, Ben Fosland, City Attorney Samatha Howard, Emma Brensdal, PWD Steve Berreth, and Clerk Sonya M. Southland also attended.

Pool Manager — PWD Berreth reported one of the thermal tarps is ripped; he will research costs to replace. The pool is tarped every night unless there is a storm. It was asked about chlorine levels – PWD Berreth explained the regular chlorine and PH levels. The pool should be tested every three hours – if the pH is out of whack, so will the chlorine. Discussed developing a program to record all levels and let everyone have access to it for better communication on results.

Public Works Report –

• PWD Steve Berreth reported that everything went well for the reunion; getting ready for the swim meet.
