Hanrahan, Eide Win Primary Nominations– Claude Hanrahan of Whitetail won the democratic nomination for county commissioner by more than a hundred votes Tuesday in the Primary election as interest in local offices brought out more than a thousand of the 1,761 registered voters. Hanrahan will be opposed by Carl Ruud of Flaxville in the General Election this fall.

Melfred Eide, incumbent county treasurer, won the Republican nomination to the office of Clerk of Court by a scant 12 ballots. Howard Schaefer will be his Democratic opponent this fall.
