MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD MAY 5, 6, AND 19, 2025.

REGULAR MEETING May 5, 9 o’clock a.m.

The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Thievin and Fladager were present with the clerk. The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Fladager seconded, all voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve April 2025 minutes with corrections, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board approved JV#’s 8685-8686 The Board approved the officer reports for April 2025.

Michael Bergeron, Road Supervisor, met with the Board. Discussed was: One grader is out and they are using a rental from Tractor and Equipment; would like to start the process of purchasing the new graders in June or July; the solid waste would like to move the existing gate up the road closer to the transfer station. This would require blocking off part of the county road, culvert in road to transfer station, road signs down on Navajo Road. The Board approved April 2025 payroll.

Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve the chairman signing the Signature Certification and Designation of Depository for direct deposit. Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Fladager made a motion to approve the letter to the Independence Bank showing an excerpt from the April 7, 2025 minutes, showing the purchase approval and loan approval for the 2025 skid steer from the Independence Bank. Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve signing the Intercap Loan Program disbursement request form for money for purchasing gravel for the transfer station site, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

Julia Laurie, Treasurer and Logan Olson, County Attorney met with the Board. The Board received a DocuSign memorandum of understanding with the State of Montana for the motor vehicle pro...
