Same Old Story With Scobey Girls Track And Field Team


Last week’s article in this space made note of the Scobey High School varsity girls’ track and field team “appear extremely consistent” in this 2025 season and by golly it went down to Sidney and proved those words as absolutely correct.”
The article also noted the Lady Spartans would go down to 65th annual Glendive Shriners Invitational on Friday, April 25 and be their same consistent selves.
“That doesn’t necessarily mean the Scobey girls are a lock to finish in the top three but they will most likely be up in the top third of the 33-team field and still be the consistent squad they have become,” the article went on to say.
So what did they do? Tallied 21 points to finish in ninth place in a field of 33 teams, which included eight roster-heavy Class A teams and five Class B teams—more enrollment, more bodies, more points!
They are on a very good, consistent roll and will be giving it their absolute best again at the Friday, May 2, Fairview Invitational, which is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
In addition to the host Warriors, teams scheduled to compete include Bainville, Brockton, Carter County (Ekalaka), Circle, Culbertson, Frazer, Froid-Medicine Lake, Garfield County (Jordan), Lodge Grass, Lustre Christian, Manderee, N.D., Plentywood, Plevna, Poplar, Richey-Lambert, Savage, Scobey, Sidney, Terry, Trenton, N.D., Trinity Christian (Williston, N.D.), MonDak (Westby-Grenora), Wibaux County and Wolf Point.
