Edna Rickman 1933-2024

Edna Marie Rickman, 91, passedawayonSaturdayMay 11, 2024, in her apartment at Elliott Residence Assisted Living at Marian Estates.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Edna was a retired kindergarten teacher, an avid quilter and loved to work in her large yard. She was also incredibly involved in the communities she lived in over the years, and formed many lifelong friendships wherever she went.

Edna was born in Scobey, MT to John and Elveda (La-Roche) Lapke, the fifth of six children, and grew up on a wheat farm near Madoc, MT.

She attended grade school in a one room schoolhouse in Madoc and went on to graduate salutatorian from Scobey High School in 1950. She attended Gonzaga University where she met her husband James (Hal) Rickman. They were married on December 16, 1952, in Flaxvil...
