BASKETBALL—TheyplayedinBillings: Scobey High School senior Mia Handran and junior Kaytie Aanstad played in the recent Treasure State Classic at Montana State University-Billings, where soon-tobe graduating seniors can show off their talents for college scouts in the stands. On Thursday, March 14, the East C team opened with a 54-35 loss to Central A, where Lustre Christian senior Alexa Reddig hit for six points. In Friday’s action, East C edged South B 61-59, with Plentywood’s Mallory Tommerup tallied 16 points followed by Aanstad with 10 and Bainville’s Elsie Wilson eight. The same day the East C squad bettered the West B 58-38 as Reddig led the team in scoring with 17 points. Tommerup added 15 and Aanstad eight.
