Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, January 9, 2024

at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with council members Niki Larson, Seth Axtman, and Paul Landeraaen present.

Greg Crowder was absent.

Also, in attendance were Brian French, Fire Chief Wyatt Wilder, City Attorney Ben Fosland (8:35 a.m.) PWD Steve Berreth and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Works Report – PWD Steve Berreth reported:

• Christmas lights have been taken down

• Garbage Truck back and operating Zoning Administrator Report – Steve Berreth:

•There is a Public Hearing scheduled for Wednesday, January 10 to hear comments for and against changing the north end of Main Street to General Business from Light Industrial and the Commission will review a draft ordinance limiting the number of short-term rentals.

Fire Chief Report – Wyatt Wilder:

• The Fire Dept is helping out with Robin Hammars upcoming medical benefit and is helping to get the skating rink ready to be filled.
