Things, Ideas & People . . .

From our “in case you missed it” department is this gem on page A7 of the Thursday, December 28, 2023 issue of the Billings Gazette daily newspaper. The headline, in all capital letters, read: PEERLESS TEEN MAKES ANNUAL CHILDREN’S BOOK DONATION TO ST. V’S.

The caption under the 7.5-inch by 5.5-inch photo said this: Aiden Fouhy, age 17 of Peerless prays with his mother Cindy Fouhy, left, and St. Vincent Healthcare chaplain John Jamison before delivering 619 children’s books to the St. Vincent Pediatric department on Wednesday. Fouhy has been donating children’s books to the pediatric unit since he was eight years old. Nine years ago Fouhy delivered his first dona tion of 76 books which he purchased with money he earned from raising and selling livestock. Through his nonprofit Kid Book Charity, Fouhy has donated more than 2,000 books to St. Vincent Pediatric unit since 2014.
