MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD JULY 3, 5, AND 17, 2023. SPECIAL MEETING HELD JULY 31, 2023.

REGULAR MEETING

July 3, 9:00 o’clock a.m.

The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Humbert and Lund were present with the clerk.

The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Humbert seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Humbert made a motion to approve June 2023 minutes. Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board reviewed the officer reports for June 2023.

The Board approved JV# 8538 through 8543.

Shawna Lowe, TAC Officer, met with the Board to give an update on the new antennas, using analog radio or cell phones and her monthly report. She would like to advertise for 2 full time and 1 part-time. The Board approved the one part-time. She requested hours to use for administration in addition to the dispatching hours.

Julia Warren, Treasurer, presented the Agreement and Receipt for safekeeping of pledged securities for approval for her to sign. Commissioner Humbert made a motion to approve Julie Warren to sign the aforementioned document. LeeAnn Danelson, Public Health, met with the Board to have the Task Order #24-07-301-025-0 for the Chronic Disease program.

The Board reviewed and signed the construction agreement for Airport AIP 3-30-0068-015-2023 for pavement project.

The Board approved payroll for June, 2023.

The Board recessed for lunch. The Board reconvened after lunch, Commissioners Linder, Humbert and Lund were present with the clerk.

The clerk mentioned that the state changed the per diem rate for breakfast from $7.50 to $8.25. The Board decided to hold off until January to reset the per diem rates as the county currently pays more per day than the state rates.

The Board reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Wool Growers Association for the predator control for sheep. Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve the MOU, Commissioner Humbert seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
