Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with councilmen Scott Fishell, Paul Landeraaen, Seth Axtman, and Jon Baker present. Also, in attendance were Janis Strapcans with Southwestern Advantage, Pool Manager Mikah James, Sheriff Mona Vines, City Attorney Ben Fosland, PWD Steve Berreth, TAC Officer Shauna Lowe (9:13) and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Comment – Janis asked permission to sell his educational books to the families that Southwestern Advantage has done business with or have been referred to.

Mayor Lekvold stated the city does have a no door to door soliciting ordinance, but if you have contacts/established clients, then this situation is a little different from door to door. Sheriff Vines offered to inform the public by social media by posting to the Sheriffs Facebook page information on Janis, his company, vehicle and what he is selling. (Children books and educational resources) Public Works Report – PWD Steve Berreth reported:

• Spreader is cleaned out ready to be returned
