Nemont 73rd Annual Held Here
Nemont Telephone Company held its 73rd annual meeting in Scobey, Thursday, June 29. The board decided to try something different this year which included having its meeting earlier in the year. Typically the meeting has been held in October. Time of year may not have been as big a factor in the poor turnout but having the meeting a 4 p.m. on a week day may not have been a good idea. Only 72 of the 105 people in attendance were members, however a quorum was met. There are 8,635 members now, a quorum is 5% of the membership (432) or 50 members whichever is smaller.
