Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with councilmen Paul Landeraaen, Scott Fishell, Seth Axtman, and Jon Baker present. Also, in attendance were Emily and Terry Rask, Autumn Holman GW Grant Administrator, Greg Lukasik GW Project Engineer, Shauna Lowe TAC Officer, UndersheriffClintLowe,Pool Manager Melinda Stentoft, Tammi Fladager (8:40 a.m.)

Fire Chief Wyatt Wilder (9 a.m.), CityAttorney Ben Fosland, PWD Steve Berreth and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Comment – Emily Rask inquired about the next step to a permanent fix to the stormwater issues at her residence. Council asked Greg Lukasik to look at the area. City will research if there was ever an agreement with the landowner adjacent to let run off flow thru. A fence installed doesn’t allow snow to be pushed out far enough for water to flow down the natural drainage.

Public Works Report – PWD Steve Berreth reported:

• Update on the pivot, all gypsum has been delivered and applied. Maintenance work was performed on the pivot. The agreement states the irrigated land can only be seeded to hay.

• Wharton Asphalt will be doing some street patching this summer.
